Q. Why is ACCO Brands conducting this replacement programme?

A. ACCO Brands has initiated a replacement programme to keep consumers safe and prevent the possibility of injuries.  If you believe you have one of the impacted models, Promax Shredder Models REX823 or RSX1035, you should stop using your shredder immediately, unplug it and visit our webpage at https://RexelPromaxReplacement.expertinquiry.com where you will find directions on how you can check the model number and details on how you can obtain a free replacement.

 

Q. What models are impacted by this replacement programme/How can I tell if my shredder is impacted?

A.  This replacement programme only affects two models of Rexel Promax shredders, specifically the Promax REX823 and RSX1035.  Please go to our webpage at https://RexelPromaxReplacement.expertinquiry.com for further details on how to check the model number of your shredder.  If you have one of the impacted shredders, follow the directions to register and once we have verified your product details, we will provide you with a free replacement shredder.    

Q. What is the actual problem/what is the issue that prompted the replacement programme?

A. ACCO Brands has received a small number of reports that flammable material has ignited inside certain Promax shredders during operation.  This only concerns two models of shredders, specifically the Promax Shredder Models REX823 and RSX1035.  Although none of these involved reports of serious injury or significant property damage, out of an abundance of caution and because consumer safety is of the utmost priority to ACCO Brands, we have voluntarily initiated a free replacement programme for consumers who have an impacted product.

Q.  Mine seems ok can I continue to use the shredder?

A.  No, we are asking all consumers to stop using the impacted shredders immediately and participate in the replacement programme by visiting our webpage at https://RexelPromaxReplacement.expertinquiry.com.

Q. How is ACCO Brands conducting this replacement programme?

A. We have notified our customers and resellers to withdraw the product from sale and distribution and have asked them to notify their customers of the replacement programme.  If you believe you have one of the impacted models, you should stop using your shredder immediately and visit our webpage at https://rexelpromaxreplacement.expertinquiry.com for further details on how you can obtain a replacement.

Q. What replacement are you offering?

A.  If you have a Rexel Promax Shredder Model REX823 or RSS1035 this will be replaced with an upgraded Rexel Momentum shredder.

Q.  How long will it take for me to receive a replacement?

 

A.   Please allow 4 weeks from the date we confirm your registration. (For UK & Ireland please allow 7 days). We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we assure you that we are working as quickly as possible to despatch a replacement shredder to you.

Q. How should I dispose of the shredder?

A. Impacted shredders may not be disposed of with normal household waste and should be recycled/disposed of separately.  Please dispose of the impacted shredder in accordance with the local Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) requirements and guidance in your country e.g. at a local authority designated collection point.
